Nuts are a great source of protein. Protein is what keeps you full and satisfied for longer. Nuts are also a good source of dietary fiber. They provide a wide range of essential nutrients, including several B group vitamins such as folate and vitamin E. They contain minerals such as calcium, iron, zinc, potassium and magnesium. Nuts are packed with antioxidants like selenium, manganese, and copper. They are also a rich source of omega fatty acids.
ln our Nibblebags we use premium quality peanuts, almonds and cashews. Peanuts and cashews are packed with mono-unsaturated fatty acids (MUFA), especially oleic acid. MUFA helps lower LDL or “bad cholesterol” and increase HDL or “good cholesterol” levels in the blood. Almonds are high in Vitamin E hold about 25mg per 100gm (approximately 17O% of RDA). Vitamin E is a powerful lipid soluble antioxidant, required for maintaining membrane integrity of mucus membranes and skin by protecting it from the harmful effects of free radicals.
Because most of the water is extracted from dried fruit, their nutrients are condensed into a small package. Dehydration in fact causes some nutrients to become more concentrated. A 2OO5 study in Journal of the American College of Nutrition revealed that antioxidants in dried cranberries and grapes, are twice as potent as those in the fresh fruits.
Our Nibble bags are full of nuts together with high quality dried fruit & the occasional chocolate making them a delicious nutritious healthier option for that desk top snack.
Nibble company loves to support our mates on the land. We use our world class Australian grown produce when we can. it helps support what makes this country great. Enjoy!
